Coinciding with the UK
release of the new Bond film SPECTRE, 'On the tracks of OO7' will host
its annual
Pinewood Hotel Party on Sunday Oct 25th. The hotel's Symak Suite will open its doors for Bond fans to enjoy an evening of amazing Bond themed entertainment. You could be
part of that.
The main theme of the
evening is our celebration of 20 years of 'On the tracks of 007'.
What started back in 1995, as a simple one-page list of places where
the Bond films had been filmed,
has grown into a wonderful hobby many of us yearly share. The location
hunting and passion for James Bond has brought us all many friends,
both online and in real life. Many of you travel around the globe,
carrying a copy of 'On the tracks of 007', which was published in
2008. In the next weeks the website Onthetracksof007.com will be
totally revamped, serving you even better with your future travel
plans. And that's a good reason to celebrate!
The musical part of
the evening is in the hands of the world's leading James Bond cover
band.
This awesome 13 -piece live band will take the stage to perform a
wonderful selection of James Bond theme songs and instrumental
classics, so familiair to us all.
After their first set,
the stage is for Mr Terry Bamber and his one-man show.
Terry has been
working on the Bond films since 1974 and will share
many anecdotes from the filming.
He is an amazingly funny guy and the few shows he has done so far were
for a small audience and sold out fast.
This time he is all ours and I will guarantee you an hour filled with
laughter.
If we manage to get
Terry off the stage, Q the Music will return for a
blow-your-brains-out final set
of Bond tunes. This band is by far the best Bond cover band, mainly
because of their high level of musical professionalism. Just look at
them performing the wonderful 'Bond 77' in the clip below:
